Thanks for the post! I enjoy reading more about these Tweets and think you should do this weekly! I am wondering how you did it, because I would like to add to some of my tweets as well....
Mr. Rather, This “My Week in Tweets” is such a great catch up tool. I read your tweets every day and this just rounds off the week so well! Thank you for al you do!
Mr Rather, Thank you for all that you do and the awareness, caring, compassion, and intelligence you bring! You have always been one we can count on to bring us the truth. I really enjoyed the "My Week in Tweets". I feel like it gives us further perspective on what is going on and I feel like it would be a good segment to continue in future "Steady" newsletters.
@Dan Rather - have you read "A Crack in Creation: Gene Editing and the Unthinkable Power to Control Evolution" by Jennifer A. Doudna and Samuel H. Sternberg? This was one I read with a book group a few years back... different perspective on CRISPR. I've added HUMAN NATURE to my watch list. Also, I like the twitter wrap-up, hope you keep doing it!
As part of my role as a technology magazine editor, I use Twitter to summarize industry news and the articles we publish. I find compressing a news story into 280 characters a good exercise in brevity and distilling the lede. However, my personal Twitter feed is more like a vent on a pressure cooker, usually a release for my frustrations over the hypocrisy of politics.
Twitter being what it is - it's hard to see it all, and to wade through the sludge to see the gems. I love this idea - and being able to understand more about what was behind what you tweeted. Not only can it be difficult to fully express in 280 characters, but sometimes the depth gets lost. Please do consider making this a regular feature!
When a friend suggested to me that you were the best part of Twitter, I didn’t believe her at first. I don’t mind admitting my wrong! Your tweets have often been the catalyst behind further investigation, which I needed to hear above all the online noise. Your tweets have also been the catalyst of many a “HA!” legit laugh out loud. You accomplish much in 280 or fewer.
Yes! These behind-the-tweets explanations would be a welcome weekly feature (plus I wouldn't have known what a 720 was otherwise haha). Sometimes I miss a tweet or two, so excellent idea.
Truly loving both your Twitter feed and this new endeavor, Steady, to which I have subscribed. I love the thoughtfulness and humor (snark?) that you bring.
Your weekly recap is such a pleasure to read.

Thank you, Mr. Rather for such eloquence that somehow makes the world feel calmer and hopeful.
Since I don't 'do' twitter, I appreciate seeing some of your tweets shared via Steady!

A great feature. Keep 'em coming. "Brevity is the soul of wit."
Really enjoyed this format. I am on Twitter but don’t always catch all of your tweets, which are always gold. Consider doing this again in the future

You are a national treasure Mr Rather.
Your words restore my hope. It’s so wonderful to read words of sanity in a world that at times seems to have tipped us over the edge!
