You will leave a legacy even without this. You have upheld the ideals of journalism all your life. You are an example for all journalists not just now but in the future because media never dies, you are forever. We will always be able to see your contribution and example even after you are long gone. Thank you for your long and persistent service to holding the powerful accountable and searching for the truth. I hope to see many more years from you but when you are gone I will miss you as I miss Cronkite and all the others who strived for those ideals.
Desdra, Ditto, so very well said; How touched by some grace are we, that Dan could do nothing more than relax, retire on his many well earned laurels, but yet he persists and so freely shares. The advent of the internet, social media, etc., has brought both good and bad, particularly where it concerns journalism and any governance of critical standards; a conversation + that must be had. JMHO, Dan's life work will ever be a yardstick in any such conversation. Let the sun shine in, evermore.
