I live in Wisconsin. When I woke up Wednesday morning the NPR commentator was sharing the election news from Michigan; I was holding my breath waiting to hear who Wisconsin's governor will be for the next four years. I started thinking I need to find a job in Michigan. With a huge sigh of relief Evers has been elected for another 4 years. Governor Evers said it well, boring gets the job done, we need boring. Governor Evers celebrated his victory Tuesday night, and Wednesday morning said it is time to get back to work. The Blue cannot rest on its laurels. We have to get back to work. There is so much at stake, both sides need to come to the middle, find the compromise.

The Dems Made America Great Again! Now can we bury that slogan and have a celebratory MAGA hat bonfire?

"... especially because they aren’t very good handicappers" got a nice laugh over here. Thank you for that. Well said.

Thanks for the invite. I have been to Texas and during WWII my dad was stationed in Galveston for a time. I am actually choosing not to support the state as a whole by not traveling there. I am voting with my travel dollars; but Texas comes up short for women’s rights.

Like I said, look, read, watch, THINK. Have you ever, never wondered why Trump coined the word, "fake news"? He invented it, just like the "big" crowds for his innaguration, seriously? And as far as Keystone goes, "SleepyJoe" is on the right track, Keystone was leaking from the start into ground water, we cannot drink oil incidentally and survive, and we cannot survive very long without water, which fracking procedures pollute and destroy and in case you haven't noticed, we are experiencing a national shortage of this vital fluid nationally, not to mention across the world, and no oil amount can make up for this period. We need to rethink our priorities here and fast, seriously, we cannot drink oil, THINK!

I wish to personally thank you Dan Rather, for stating that the press should pay more attention to the issues that matter! Not only reporting on them but also stating the geneology of which they came from if you will, and yes this smacks a bit of politics getting mixed up in the middle. However, it seems to me that the current reporters simply report the general population's assumptions, not the facts, it is easy to blame the current country leader for all of our woes and consequences of perhaps our previous leader's actions, and this applies to both sides of the unfortunate line. If reporters would truly cover the why, when, how, and what, we may actually get some place. Yes, this is placing a lot of responsibility upon them, but should they not actually report the news?

I think that term limits should be a discussion. Give politicians 16 years max to see what they can collectively accomplish together. Work toward something, while still facing election during those terms. Knowing this cannot be a life-long career will have many implications. Funding for elections will become less high-stakes when change becomes more a” proof is in the pudding” effort. It would foster collaboration across lines, which is desperately needed.

Rationalism, discourse, exchange of ideals for the betterment of constituents is desperately needed.

Term limits would help eliminate all the unnecessary hoopla that deters so many from joining. Hopefully, it would encourage more qualified candidates to engage.

I think if we had close to 100% turnout, I wonder if we could have beaten back the Republicans entirely. Anyway folks, let us never get as complacent as we did about voting in the past. When Hillary Clinton ran for President of The United States in 2016 she ended up losing to Donald Trump because too many people were lulled into complacency, by subjective polling data showing she was a shoo in for The US Presidency. The only polling that is certain is the actual data generated from actual voting. I believe wealthy interests are using polling data in the hopes of lulling enough average people into complacentcy so they don't bother to turn out to vote.

Tim Ryan's gracious concession speech to J.D. Vance offered a lesson in how they used to be made. He used the occasion to decry the hate in this country and to plea for more love. Google and listen. If ever I was proud of a loser, this was it.

Thank you to all who voted for decency, democracy, and democrats. I am heartened that maybe, just maybe our country will begin practicing and implementing Steve Hartman's Kindness 101. Our President is a decent, democracy loving American and man. He has surrounded himself with people who have their hearts and priorities in the right place. If we don't learn from history - we are doomed to repeat it. I think everyone, most everyone, is just tired of the turmoil and chaos created by Trump and the MAGA people.
