Oh how I love this, Mr Rather. Thank you.

Ella Fitzgerald is a page out of my childhood when my parents played her complete songbook endlessly and my dad said she was the best jazz vocalist of that era.

Happy Fathers Day to you, Mr Rather, and all of the dads out there, including mine, who passed 24-years ago.

Oh, I’m sorry Shelly. First year was rough for me. Be gentle with yourself today.

The sheer joy on their faces and everyone in the audience is proof we need more jazz in the world. Happy Father’s Day indeed!

Thank you! Today is my wedding anniversary, but my husband died almost five years ago. Only Ella, whom I have known and loved even longer than my husband, could bring such happy tears today.

Smiling? I’m grinning from ear to ear! This is the BEST. Ella’s voice still thrills me - and with her phrasing, timing, and styling, she remains the best jazz singer of all, imo.

I will listen to this again and again and each time I’ll be smiling and thanking you for posting it today!

You amaze me Mr Rather, with your repertoire of musical interests. I too love a wide range of music; it brings out a most wonderful feeling in me. Jazz being my most listened to on a daily basis, Ella always in there somewhere.

BTW, we streamed your movie last week and found out more of your interesting life, we are lucky to have you. You are loved.

Oh Larry, you will be surprised to know, BTS, Korean Boy Band, one of the seven young men, V sang Ella's song Cheek to Cheek. He loves Jazz, and has sung her song beautifully. Look him up. Ella's is never forgotten and her music and Louis Armstrong still lives on.
