Shameful. I can think of a few more words, but I refuse to "honour" the GOP or the Grossly Overpaid Politicians in said party by using them.

Awful people! They are determined to destroy the party system as it exists now, they know what needs to be done but refuse real cooperation, and so they render the legislative system incapable of action. They will drag this country down whether they get what the want or not. They do not care that nothing is done until the election..in other words, in their mind until Trump is re-elected. Dan, you are right, Trump is the one dictating what must happen with this GOP Congress. And I am not sure we can count on the Supreme Court nor on a Judicial system too slow to act - sad to say but the worst may still to come…

Absolutely abhorrent that the GOP screams out of one side of their mouths about open orders and then out of the other side of their mouths will do nothing about it. HOW in this democracy can ANYONE vote blue?!? They care nothing about the people, they blindly follow a madman who will throw anyone under the bus

History doesn't repeat itself; it rhymes. Much like Hitler and Twitler.

Duke Ellington wrote a song that begins "Do nothin' 'til you hear from me". Who knew our House of Reps was/were Ellington fans?

With all the distractions and continuing debacles in the Congress, it makes one wonder when and where this is all going to end.

Embarrassing Biden seems to be their only purpose.

Well, their blunderbusses are backfiring…

Presidents, at least before Trump, measured their success and legacy by the quality and quantity of the problem solving legislation passed when in office by an always recalcitrant Congress. Point me to the important legislation that Biden has had passed and I’ll agree with you and others who maintaIn that he’s been an effective president . That said, he could have just sat on his shaky hands for four years and still been a much, much better president than Trump again. Trump is a mortal threat to our democracy and must be stopped. ABT - Anybody But Trump.

Dan...I know you know, tye VERY first thing Hitler did was to stack the courts. He killed 26 million Europeans and it was ALL perfectly legal. I feel like I'm on one of those nightmares that you know is a nightmare but you can't wake up anyway.

MSNBC, among to few others, reported 26% of the Republican party would not vote for Trump if he was convicted... Am I incorrect and assuming that means the other 74% WOULD vote for a convicted felon to be president of the United States?

A nightmare I tell you.

What the hell kind of country has Anerica become?

So many people hate it so much they'd have it torn down and thrown out? Without the slightest thought give to the consequences.

The very definition of a nightmare.

Regarding undocumented persons who have crossed the border illegally, Republicans live in a very divided house. In one hand, they represent Big Businesses which enjoy the relatively inexpensive workers who put roofs on their new houses built for sale, who clean their hotels and motels, who take care of their kids, and who maintain their gardens. But Republicans are the party which fears these same workers who invade their districts. What is such a party to do? The answer is simple: Listen to Trump who says to “do nothing.” And they’ve listened and have done nothing.

Since the Republicans don't want to do anything about the immigration issue, yet want to continue to complain about the amount of immigrants coming across, if I were Biden, I would put a stop to all of the immigration right now by executive order, and implement some of the suggested changes in the law that apparently will not be passed. The Republicans can no longer complain about the number of immigrants coming across and also cannot claim that Biden and the Democrats do not want to do anything. Then, next year, when the Democrats take the Presidency, the Senate and the House, they can for once and for all execute the law being proposed on which sounds like a common sense way to start to fixing the immigration problem. I hate people who criticize without ever providing an alternative solution or improvement to what is proposed.
