Dan, thanks. You're right. She's great! Keeping up my hopes that Texas will return from the darkness of Abbott, Paxton, Cruz, and return to the light of George Strait and Stevie Ray Vaughn and Willie Nelson. As well, of course as you recently pointed out, the Chicks! And politically, Beto and Ann Richards!

This song brings me back to my college days. I associate it with getting a copy of "Our Bodies,Ourselves" in my mailbox on campus! Thanks for the trip down memory lane....and it's time to revive this song's sentiment as loudly as possible!

My go to election song for women and those who love them is HELEN REDDY singing 🎶 “I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar, In Numbers Too Big To Ignore” ; I just go to YouTube and listen, follow the lyrics karaoke style and sing the house down. It’s that TIME! 💙💙💙

She's not a Texan - she's Canadian, and we proudly claim her as ours!

Absolutely she's a glorious Canadian. I just wanted to remind readers that Texas and Texans are much better than their current crop of venal politicians.

That got me. What else can be said about Shania Twain. Pure talent, great lyrics and what a performance. Great way to start a week and as another poster said this would be great as Kamala's intro song!!

I still believe that Mo Reb's song "Put a Woman in Charge" is a great song for Kamala Harris! You can find it on You Tube. It's really good!

Ah, Keb Mo - but yes, absolutely!

I embarrassed that I got his name wrong! It is Keb Mo not Mo Reb! That song should definitely be a campaign song for Kamala!

Not to worry. Truth be told, I’m a little dyslexic and sometimes produce some hilarious juxtapositioned word salads.

One of my favorite songs from the 90s. Great choice, Dan for this beautiful Sunday morning. Lyrics are unbelievable in this song. Adopted one of my mantras from this tune….” Girls need a break, forget I’m a lady”. So true. And so so so much fun. Love you Shania & Love you Dan.

I loved how the video riffed off of Robert Palmers Addicted to love one. She is phenomenal!

PS Could we please enjoy this Sunday smile without bringing politics into the conversation. A break once in a while is good for us and Dan always chooses great songs and artists. Thanks

Mr. Rather, I lived in Las Vegas for 12 years - years ago. The hotels have changed substantially. I lived there when the Sands and Flamingo Hotels were the place to go, when Sammy Davis, Jr., could appear at a strip hotel as a headliner, but had to stay in North Las Vegas. (Probably the place MAGA would like to return us to.)

At any rate, notwithstanding the heat, what's to keep you from going to see Shania Twain? What a great video - thanks for sharing! She's inviting you to Vegas. Go!!!
