We human beings tend to be social creatures, and there’s nothing like meeting in person. Unfortunately that isn’t always possible, as now a year of pandemic life has made so tragically clear. But powerful new technology thankfully does make staying in touch possible.

My hope in creating STEADY here on the Substack platform was to create a digital community built on dialogue -respectful, hopefully thought-provoking, dialogue. I want a place where we can talk to each other civilly, listen, debate, respect our differences, and revel in what we have in common.

STEADY is just getting started and is still very much a work in progress. I am humbled and honored that so many of you have chosen to join us on this journey.
