Not surprised at all. I live right across the border from her district and remember her ads and signs in 2020, when she was running against a Neurologist from Rome. I was in disbelief when this went to a runoff and she won. Her ads showed using Nancy Pelosi as her shooting target with her AR-15. She was the most repulsive thing I had seen in politics. I thought the suburbs in North Georgia near Chattanooga would reject her, but that didn't happen.
The Neurologist had Dr. Ben Carson as a former Neurology Professor and sought his help. "Nope" said the Trump sycophant. He knew he lost. The whole Republican Party is trash and spineless.
The whole point of our Declaration of Independence was to court the help of other nations in our struggle for separation from England. And the French eventually did so, at first clandestinely, and after Saratoga openly. Yes, French motives were mixed, but the simple fact remains that without French military supplies, Rochambeau's army, and de Grasse's naval squadron, Yorktown would have turned out very differently and the treaty of Paris might never have happened.
I am not advocating that we send troops to the Ukraine, and they have not asked for them They merely want the same thing that saved us; our support in the most useful way we can provide it.
