We saw a remarkable video on social media this week, a new rendition of John Mayer’s Grammy-winning “Waiting on the World to Change,” performed by 100 artists from dozens of countries around the world.
i can’t reach mace rothenberg to give to his museum and he lives in his lymphnodes right near me where all private people may live -ninth amendment (balancing civil rights) the rest are easy not cheap
Great choice, Dan! I really enjoyed watching and listening to this. It takes you away from the day to day news into looking at the big picture, and what needs our attention.
I’d rather listen to rather than watch tv just now. Thanks for your anticipated cooperation in helping me get my passport to I can travel out of the country. I’ve certainly waited long enough for that to arrive and I have a good idea about that too.
I've loved Playing For Change for a while now. The videos are always so well produced with the combinations of instruments, singers and especially the dance groups that sometimes appear. America needs more exposure to other places around the world and music is the perfect way to do it; just a few minutes of your time and you can visit a place you've never seen before accompanied by beautiful music.
Thanks for this, Dan. Playing For Change is one of my favorite sources of music these days when I'm on my computer and want to take a few minutes for a break. The concept -- no less the actual performances (and the technology involved!) -- dovetails with my outlook on life: cooperation and collaboration lead to a richer experience in almost every endeavor. I've always loved music, I play several instruments, sing, and listen to music whenever possible. This song -- one I didn't know -- is perfect for this time. If we don't take action, if we don't MAKE change happen, what will happen is disastrous. Thank you for bringing this version of this song, and PFC, to your readers.
The late, great Jimmy Buffett invested generously in the Playing for Change project. His upbeat and gracious musical sharings have long buoyed my spirits, and now it buoys our global spirits--hooray for all that lifts us up together!!!
Unfortunately, those least affected by climate change dismiss it the most. What will it take for them to change their minds: a catastrophic storm that destroys their houses, limitations on their consumption of water due to droughts, the continued streak of the hottest years in world history, mass migration of workers unable to make a living due to environmental changes? They will continue to push for "drill, drill, drill" because the "Orange Jesus" promotes it and climate change doesn't impact them...yet.
These [rare] continent-spanning collaborations are some of the most moving songs I have experienced. Bless you for sharing this ❤️ 🎶
Beautiful!!!
Beautiful and moving... and a bit heartbreaking.
Thank you for sharing this. It was beautiful!!!

I also read George Kelly: people anticipate events by construing their replications.
Playing for Change is so great! I love their videos and this song is really a good one! Thanks, Dan!
Wow! Beautiful music with an important message. Thanks, Mr. Rather, for sharing with all of us.
