Good ridence, perhaps we can return to a discussion of issues and reason/rationale for our selection of data to consider in our formulation of decision making, otherwise known as the scientific process
Thank you for paying tribute to the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. I hope that your view will be the one taken by historians as they wade through the vitriol of Republicans and some Democrats to analyze her patriotism, accomplishments, and valuable contributions to our nation.
My respect for Madam Speaker went into the toilet when she said that stupid thing about the ACA: "We have to pass it to see what's in it". However, seeing what she has accomplished since that moment in time has been monumental, and consequential to all Americans, and for that I applaud her and will no longer begrudge one gaffe against a lifetime of accomplishment.
Madam Speaker, you rocked it. On behalf of a grateful nation, thank you. Stay strong against the haters, and keep doing what you do so well - changing the world.
Speaker Pelosi is the epitome of leadership and grace. I was moved to tears as I listened to her speech. Her words resonated with me as a woman in leadership. I know she will guide our next generation of leaders to greatness.
Nancy Pelosi is a true and loyal American and has been an outstanding leader. That she has been vilified by the Republican Party is shameful and disgusting.
Nancy Pelosi served this country well for many years. She deserves a place in our government's history. However, IMO- too many years. She and others have been entrenched in a system in Washington that does not serve the people well. They serve their caucuses and parties rather than the people. Yes, isolated programs and bills have been passed but many of them were not "for the people" but were for the parties. I wish there WERE term limits so that Washington could be a place of new thinking, new ideas and AMERICA thinking rather than party thinking. Alas, I fear we will never see that day.
I will miss her dearly. I am reminded of something another strong woman in my life once said. They call us b****** because we are strong and effective. So be it. I admire her greatly and am grateful that she is staying on - we still need her!

A beautiful tribute to a beautiful human being, Nancy Pelosi. Thank you!
Of course men vilify men. That is a given.

There are not enough words to portray the significance of Speaker Pelosi, but you have given us the best.
She is a remarkable woman who has earned a large, honorable place in the history of the U.S.
So True. Thank you Dan Rather for putting into word what so many of us feel.
I loved her speech. Well done Madam Speaker. The next leader has big shoes to fill.

Thumbs up! As a woman in Physics I know the evidence is rampant if unfathomable.
