Great Choice Dan for this Sunday. Linda is a true star ⭐️. That interview you did with her was stupendous. She is great to listen to when singing or just speaking. So let’s salute her great “career move” and raise a cup of coffee to all the “invisible people” in this world. 🌍. They count as well.

Sure thing, there is a lot of team work and everyone is contributing in some small measure.

Thank you

Linda Ronstadt was so talented that The Eagles got their start as her back-up band.

What a beautiful voice! The woman could sing the phone book and it would be a hit. Thank you, Mr. Rather. Your “Reason to Smile” never fails to make me do so.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE “is the sweetest gift brought down from heaven” - a parent’s smile. Forgive me for changing from “mother” to parent. As a single father raising his children alone for many years - this change helps the song to slide gently into my heart more easily.

You are such a Lucky Man Dan! You have met so many amazing people and shared them with us. Linda is truly an American treasure. She influenced so many of the best bands to form in the decades of incredible talent including the Eagles 🦅. Have a great day Sir!

Thank you, Dan, for sharing this morning blessing. Linda is such a magnificent, intelligent, and versatile talent. I wish she still had her original ability to sing, but I will always hear her voice as it's part of my life story. My thanks to Linda for all (and I do mean all!) the songs and to both of you for this wonderful interview.

Love her singing and her songs. The day she announced she couldn’t sing any more was truly sad.

In 72 I happened into a small intimate club called Tulagi in Boulder, Colorado. This young woman named Linda Ronstadt, with the sweetest voice and a terrific backup band called the Stone Poneys were playing that night. We were blown away and realized we’d witnessed something very special. I’ll never forget it.

What a gorgeous Sunday smile! Her voice is sublime and the harmonies with Dolly and Emmy Lou are heavenly. Thanks for this gift this morning.

Thanks for this Reason to Smile, Dan. Ronstadt’s voice is unmistakable, her range and control was only part of what made her a star. Her love for the songs she sang - regardless of its genre - comes through in every one of them. I’m so glad you highlighted TRIO, although I would have said that about any of her albums. It’s just that TRIO has Parton and Harris to add richness to the songs. We’re better off for having their voices to carry us through this day.

Picking a best song by Ronstadt is impossible, but I was blown away by the live version of the old Martha and the Vandellas hit, “Rescue Me”, which is in the end credits of her documentary. What power! What a star!

Thank you for sharing both clips. Dolly, Emmy Lou and Linda sound like angels. I forgot about her American Song Book, thankfully it is still being republished by younger stars. I'm glad that she went ahead and explored her Mexican roots and recorded them. What a beautiful, powerful and versatile voice she has.
