I loved it..if anyone knows me ..i believe in kindness..and good in this world.and last year almost died several times.fromGastroparsis..thank you for the song.pass it on and the world will be a better place
Thank you for reminding me of Natalie Merchant's wonderful song! I listened to it, and then I listened again, and then I asked my husband if we had the CD - and we do. That's being popped into the car's sound system right now. A "simple sentiment" to carry us through some dark times...
Thank you, your voice is a steady, calming, honest and trustworthy one that I look forward to reading. It's an amazing gift to speak the truth of what our country is facing while keeping the humanity and hope alive - the tie that binds. Namaste.
Coincidence or synchronicity? I hadn't listened to Nathalie Merchant in years, yet yesterday searched "Kind and Generous." It flooded my heart with warmth as did your post today. Thank you for a lifetime of reasoned perspective and rational voice.
Perfect! With my arm in a sling while a broken bone is healing I have had the pleasure of saying thank you many times over as friends picked up groceries, drove me to appointments, brought over a cup of coffee and stayed for a chat. Until one’s a recipient of such generosity from people with busy lives it’s hard to wrap your head around how much a simple act of kindness means to the recipient. This forum is a gift too. So THANK YOU!!
for some reason, the word 'bound' in this song riveted me with a sense of responsibility, that we are all compelled on some level to thank others for what we can never truly repay but nonetheless owe...there is a power and a call to act in that word...'you know I'm bound, I'm bound to thank you for it'... oh how words matter!
and now i will carry that word within me as a constant reminder to never hesitate to pay it forward - simply because of all that came before ...i am grateful to you and dan for sharing that song with your readers (especially me) today...
Thank You Dan and Elliot, I been a new junkie maybe too much at times. For not getting on other matters like paying bills, lol. Anyway, Its always good to looking forward to Your posting here.
With you and others here it is my hope, in the hour of darkness that We as a Nation can and will come together as a whole. Noting, nothing is 100%, but as lease, core will, no matter what background.
Its my belief because of folks like here,, this will happen.
