This is a really dangerous situation down in Texas ! Neighbors turning in neighbors for money and political gain. This smells like the self proclaimed genius of constitutional law Ted Cruz . Yet , Why do so many Republican women support these liars ? What is it they fear loosing? Could it be the lie and fear that their men and children are about to lose white superiority and privilege? Bigotry is not gender specific . A super-sized helping as measured on the scales of justice of Bigotry served up by servers in gov on the plate of democracy is not very delicious! Let us hope they enjoy the cold banana pudding dessert that we are bringing to the picnic in 2024….

This is law reminds me of something that a country like North Korea or China might inflict upon it’s citizens. We as Americans don’t ask our citizens to spy on one another, and certainly not to profit to the “tune” of $10,000 for doing so. When a state government stoops this low entire US Supreme Court should have all dissented. I feel sad and angry when the majority of justices of the Supreme Court don’t uphold a 50 year old law.

There just are no words to describe how angry I am. At 79 years old, I cannot believe we are allowing this to happen.

With the Texas Legislature giving such power to Texas Citizens to become “Abortion Bounty-hunters” aren’t they violating every Texans HIPPA Rights at the same thing me?

I also very, very deeply worry about our southern neighbours in regards to the most evident erosion of your democracy. I believe it is happening. I believe after midterms, your democracy as you have known it, will be forever changed. The U.S. is about to enter the abyss. And if folks think a democracy is easy to once again gain back, think again. This forthcoming midterm is about to change your lives. I forecast that all the rights and privileges you once believed would be forever enshrined are about to end. A very dangerous undercurrent is alive and at this very moment, is being orchestrated with the most deliberate intentions to control your lives. At least that's what this older Canadian thinks. I truly hope I'm wrong......but I'm not!

As a 74 yr old Canadian male, father of three, happily married,I'm appalled at this ruling.Since time began, woman have been unfairly treated. Now this. This world needs MORE woman holding responsible positions of influence. I sincerely ask myself and at times other men while in conversations; "who the hell do you think you are?" EVERY SINGLE PERSON on this planet deserves to be treated equally. We do this to ourselves. No other animal on this earth does to itself what the human animal does. Who are we as men in particular, to continually' as per this latest example, dictate the rights of a woman. Sorry to say this, but the U.S. scares many of us. This is the type of thing that again, reinforces our worries. Where is your nation headed. And if you're concerned now, wait until the mid-terms when traditionally, the opposition gains seats.Where are you folks headed. I know this sounds arrogant, but I'm thankful I live where I do. Take care

This isn’t just about this particular case. If states can use legal loopholes like this, then the Supreme Court has been rendered impotent, almost irrelevant. Is that what conservatives planned all along?

John Irving's book "The Cider House Rules" should be required reading for Texas legislators and Governor. Additionally, the Texas Governor doesn't even understand very basic human health. He said that women have 6 weeks to get an abortion from when they are pregnant. However, most everyone who has had children understands that on day 1 of getting pregnant, you are already "2 weeks" pregnant, but don't know it until you miss you next period at 4+ weeks. So, this leaves an extremely short window of less than 2 weeks to make a major decision and figure out a plan. And let's be clear: this will not affect the well-heeled. This affects the people who can't afford to travel to another state and/or take time off work on short notice to do so. How about if they fund a major sex education initiative, provide extensive funding and access for birth control methods, and subsidize extremely expensive childcare costs as a way to reduce abortions.

Do we need to abolish the Supreme Court? Frankly I feel that they should limitation to their terms of service, with max of 8 years. These lifelong appointments are crap and I can see the swollen egos in the court all the way to Kansas. If abortion is wrong, then male enhancement should be as well. Also, men could have vasectomies till they want have mutual consent to have a child. We wouldn't need abortion then.

I like & respect Sotomayor. She’s brilliant. Kavanaugh must have taken a bribe. He can’t be trusted because he’s bought. I completely disagree with the decision. Let’s make every man get a vasectomy until he’s ready to take responsibility.

I have always felt that this is a personal and private decision that a woman must make on her own. How the government became involved is something that I don't understand. It makes no sense to me. Women have the intelligence to make their own choices. It's about time we were given the right to do so without interference. We could use more justices like Sonia Sotomayor and more women on the Supreme Court.

But you can't talk about the Supreme Court without being accused of "politicizing the court". As if the Court wasn't politicized when Mitch "Death of Democracy" McConnell sat on that nomination for almost a year.

Can there possibly be a more blatant example of the GOP not caring about the rule of law.

The Supreme Court is failing its citizens and will continue to. Trump grins. He was elected and still wonders how that happened. The armed religious right, fascists and racist all and the anarchists are having a field day. It is a tyranny of the minority. Made possible because everyone is armed to the teeth. One day America will wake up and begin to pick up the pieces and set aright the ship of state. But how much damage will be done first? We are getting an indication now...
