Love homegrown tomatoes, the taste & freshness is unparallelled. so good for salads, a green garden salad, or a Caprese Salad, or used in homemade sauce...unfortunately the Evil Squirrels around my house love them too :-( LOL
I have only about 3 square meters of ground I can plant in and I throw lots of seeds in there in the hopes that they grow. I was delighted when I got a volunteer cherry tomato! The first little tomatoes have just started forming and I can't wait for them to ripen.
My grandfather grew, a large plot of tomatoes. By the bushel, Tom a toes, lol, as kids we called them that. Corn, Green beans, and onions by the bushel. We were happy when the parents went to grandpa's.
Tomatoes on toast Yum. Whole Tomatoes for me sliced. Salt and pepper. Adult me loves tomatoes on the side of everything. Onions and tomatoes and parsley/or cilantro pair up well with light olive oil, salt and pepper it's a sauce for sandwiches on the side. Hubby not a fan of veggies, or tomatoes. Thank you for article.
We love and depend on our STEADY from you. I gotta say though, this one goes into my favorites stack. We embarked on an organic practice, small farm journey eight years ago and homegrown tomatoes are a specialty of ours. Thanks guys! I needed this before heading out into the 100 degree (plus) air today, here in Central Illinois! With Love, L & R
Love this!!! I do miss canning the very best boxes of tomatoes to last throughout the year. Disabled hands prevent that but I hope my memories of the fun of canning as well as tastes never fade. Green chili season coming up 😉😉😉 January 6 committee
Love love love the call back to Guy. One of a kind.

Picked my first "big" tomato this morning. I'm looking forward to that first BLT!
Thank you for the whimsy.

That’s my favorite Guy Clark song. And there’s no denying the truth of “Only two things that money can’t buy…”
