When I said GO, Dark Brandon, GO! I meant, "Throw down the achievements and accomplishments despite the Republican obstruction, pop on the aviators, and saunter out of the room."
Thank you so much! I feel that the news media, so dependent on advertising, is not able to cover the full truth of what is happening in our country politically, which affects all of us. I appreciate your point of view and your willingness to spend the time to discuss these issues.
It would be nice to vote for someone instead of the least of two evils. Biden will get votes from some Progressives because he is better than the alternative.
Biden's accomplishments, significant as they are, tend to be outweighed in the public's mind by his low-key, undramatic presentation. History's evaluation is one thing… the perception of the face and voice on live tv is entirely another. We've been primed for years now to respond to drama, outrage, provocation, fireworks. Biden however is playing a chess game, quietly and effectively. Unfortunately, seems most people are not excited by his wins.
I see Dan making a plea on Twitter for people to retweet a link to Steady. Now that He accepts Twitter as the best free speech forum, will he acknowledge it with some gratitude toward the man who has built it?
Or will he continue to demonize one of the best people in society today. Tribalism is an ugly thing. Democrats must shed this religious crusade if ithe party ever hopes to restore its dignity. The party currently is ruled by Atheists who have adopted a form of virtual crucifixion and the creation of angels and demons. One must admit that there are few angels among politicians, the least of which is Joe Biden, a very human President with many flaws.
Step 1 may be happening as we speak with RFK Jr gaining ground among moderate Democrats, independents and even some Republicanns. There is a chance for my former liberal party to redeem itself.
I think this is criminally underreported: "For example, his climate measures are outperforming even the most optimistic predictions notwithstanding the concessions on a major pipeline." I haven't seen any reporting to that effect at all, and I feel like I follow a variety of sources.
I'd love a citation if you have one, so I can read and share.
What Major Pipeline? What Concession? How about the Biden administration offering nearly a million acres in Alaska's Cook Inlet to fossil fuel companies in December. It is a biologically diverse area. The government's own analysis cites a one-in-five chance of a major oil spill in Cook Inlet which would devastate the area's fishing industry, residents, and endangered beluga whales.
Dan and Elliot, you stated it well, "MAGA nihilism has crashed repeatedly against the rocky shores of Biden pragmatism." This President is doing the job and well. He is representing the electorate and protecting this nation.
The "problem" is Biden isn't a dynamic speaker. That said, I want someone who can govern and honestly I couldn't care less if we ever hear them speak if they're doing a good job!
Another month where the job numbers exceed expectations. Inflation is on the run. Outside of the antics of the far, and now "mainstream" right, we have stability in the presidency and government. Gone are the corruptible hacks that populated the administration under Trump, who didn't drain but expanded and restocked the swamp, with himself as chief gator. Foreign governments respect us again. Biden is far from perfect, but what's not to like about what he has achieved? Sure, it would be cosmetically great if we had all that in a younger, "Hollywood" version of a president. But the reality is, on the merits, Biden has done a good job.

Why do you think the Job market is hot? I’m married to a highly effective technical recruiter who has not had a job since Feb 1, 2023.
Biden, just 2 1/2 years into his first term, is on pace to be the most effective President in US history

We appreciate your reasoned analysis. You offer the truth and sanity we seek.

Thank you!! We need this perspective!
