Trump is undoubtedly securing the White House from the inevitable 1st Amendment protest siege that is guaranteed to occur when his steal the election clampdown begins around the November, 2026 Midterms.
I look forward to the day when:the word Trump is only heard on bridge tables; the east wing is rebuilt; the north portico is restored; every day is not begun with Trump, Trump, Trump; the tacky faux gilt is removed and the Oval Office no longer resembles a bordello. Those are just the social aspects. The repair to the country will take decades when the GOP’s center ring clown is gone and people understand the damage they have done while we are focused on the useful idiot.
I continue to be amazed (and grateful) that you are able to fly under the media-destructo radar. Should we recover, it's gonna need to be closer to rebirth.
The desecration will continue until morale improves. Everything he touches falls to ruin. Fencing off the people’s house and park is an apt illustration of what he thinks of us. If he thinks at all.
The SAVE Act is a fortress on paper. He's building fences around the White Housefor a physical fortress--all in the interest of staying in power forever.
La lisa on fire, thank you for your attention to the truth that is out there for folks to see the matters for calling out for a common sense call on voting against the liars truth.
I agree with Maggie Haberman. This is all about Trump, his ego and legacy. Sadly, his foreign policy is controlled by the choices of Putin and Netanyahu. His fear of other power centers, like the UN and the ICC, makes him a easily controlled puppet king. Soon his name and hopefully Hegseth’s will be added to the list at ICC.
I am so pleased that I was able to visit Washington during President Obama's first term, and to see an amazing city before the current incumbent vandalised it. I had hoped to return (I'm in the UK), but fear it will not be possible until he is gone. Also on the list now is the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago: one day .......
I hate this man so utterly that it is difficult to describe the pain I feel from reading this. I was very fortunate to be able to travel to Capital Hill in DC once or twice a year just to tour it’ while my husband attended work-related meetings. I was awed and inspired by both the archiitecture and the feeling of pride for the honorable work of our democratic government. I loved all of the Smithsonian museums and art galleries that I enjoyed for hours every day. I always visited and prayed at the eternal flame in Arlington Cemetery and the National Cathedral. I was full of pride for our democracy. I do not ever expect to return to our nation’s capital that is being over run by brutal fascists. Not my Capitol!
He will be gone one day. Hopefully Washington will be cleaned up of his ilk as well and the White House will be restored. It's up to the people. "Mother's don't let your babies grow up to be...ignorant of history."
The "People's House" is now a gated community. The ICE dogs are released on anyone who dares to dream of a new future in the land of immigrants.

Perfect! A prison for one, and just the right one too. The wardrobe is off though.
Trump turning the capitol into a gated community - no surprise, the uber rich don't want the masses near them.
Cheap ornamental junk and the glue gun from hell....

The first time he was elected was maybe a mistake but the second time was pure evil perpetrated by 77 million Americans upon the whole world!
Every day another despicable event from him & his regime! Just pure demonic wastefulness for his own vanity!
Meanwhile not just America but the whole world suffers!
And where are the trumpstein files?

"We passed ostentatious many gold baubles ago." The delightful writing of our American treasure, Dan Rather.

At some point years from now, then word trump will become a curse word. Or a derogatory slur of some sort.
