Who will have the courage to say what everyone can hear?

Except the authoritarian thing.

Democracy was not destroyed. Trump tried. It didn't work. And the Republic continues to meander on in a more or less forward direction.

Ask any child with a rudimentary understanding of right and wrong. If someone won by cheating they should forfeit their victory... Could you look me in the eye and tell me that child would be wrong.. It's common sense decency, but Biden has no decency, that's how he became President , by being more of a psychopath...The issue is one of basic right and wrong.....

Please dont be Shy about saying the Traitor's name: tRUMP.....maybe you dont want to give him anymore publicity....but we need to specifically call him out for his evil deeds and lay the blame on him. He is truly the worst president our country ever hand. No one should forget how tRUMP almost destroyed American Democracy. His name should live in INFAMY for decades.

America cannot begin to solve its political crisis until it faces this very simple principle full on:

1. Breaking the presidential oath has real and immediate consequences

In years passed, this principle was understood and upheld. Taken for granted even.

Now, members of the Senate and House and even the president, are not held accountable for breaking their oaths of office.

Is this going to remain the operating principle for all elected public offices?

If the answer is yes, then America is doomed.

Its citizens will remain cynical, unbelieving and willing to break oaths and laws too.

It seems obvious that Trump has not been penalized or held accountable, or disqualified from seeking presidential office again for breaching his oath of office because:

1. There is no law to enforce this profoundly important oath

2. This oath is not really considered a sacred duty

Since all presidents are sworn to uphold the Constitution, why is Trump :

1. Not charged with failing his oath of office ?

2. Penalized for breaking his oath of office?

3. Disqualified from every running for office again?

Or are we to conclude that these oaths are just traditional, meaningless window dressing every four years?

Please write about this, Dan. It is a valid question no one addresses.

Biden's Administration is hurting US citizens, taxpayers, and the world really; he is a tyrant! While Trump sees the effects of Biden's horrible policies, he doesn't have the military power to stop the tyrannical momentum Americans are stuck in. I'm not sure which fascism is worse: the one Biden is putting us through towards the Reset or that civil war that Trump wants, that many want--war for status quo, balance of power, where is the middle ground anymore, no homeostasis.

As you said it is reprehensible that the Republicans can't just run him out on a rail. What else does he need to do or say to change their minds? He is a threat plain and simple.

Just look what was happening in Germany this week… so don’t be surprised if there is a second wave of insurrection/domestic terrorist attack before/during/after the 2024 Presidential Election in Washington DC especially if it looks like Donald Trump’s party is going to lose again UNLESS he is convicted and put in jail OR not allowed to run in the first place. P.S.: DeSantis has no chance outside of FL IMHO.

Firstly, I don't think that is what he meant at all. His text was very clumsy, that is for sure.

There are constitutional remedies, and one may be heard by the Supreme Court soon. I sure hope they now recognize how damaging it was to not hear the prior cases regarding the election. They need to step up and do their job, as difficult as it may be.

This next case, if heard, will probably be the most difficult and consequential case ever heard by the Supreme Court. Regardless of the decision, one half or the other of the country will be very unhappy.

Thank you. I hope I live to see the danger posed by Trump, his base and Republicans quashed, never to rise again for the sake of our country.

Abraham: I'm not sure that, at this point, any Democrat could expect to pull-in any hard-core Republican votes However, I pose a question to you: Just HOW perfect must the chosen Democratic candidate be? The Republicans, in Georgia chose Hershel Walker, the personification of stupidity, ineptness and moral depravity- -yet he came within 1% or so of defeating an incumbent having exactly the opposite characteristics? Pause for thought.
