the Jan 6 committee did a great job of exposing the Orange Antichrist's crimes. Let's hope the DOJ does it's job and indicts him for Treason and sends him to prison or gives him the final punishment.
The Committee did its work. The facts are now known; the guilt is cast. Both to the people of this nation and to those of the world, the response must be clear that citizens of the USA and their representatives will condemn and punish the actions of a former president and his enablers. The punishment needs to fit the crime. Treason?
My concern is that our system of justice holds the attempted kidnapping of a governor as deserving greater punishment than the attempted murder of a Vice President, the disruption of Congress from approving the legitimate election of a new President, the attempted harming of elected Congresspeople, and the harming of Capitol law enforcement officers.
This committee did a fantastic, thorough, job, seemingly leaving no stone unturned; they were also very clear from the outset that it was not their job to file charges and/or prosecute, but rather it was their job to dig deeply into the evidence and/or possible evidence and conclude whether or not they felt that there was/is a case for prosecution! This they did, and they did it so well and so carefully, covering each and every available detail, I thank GOD we still live in a democracy/republic or this would not have happened. Let's puch to hold this "person" accountable shall we?
I listened and watched as this horrible story unfolded. Some of my friends and family refused to watch because they claimed it was a witch hunt. I am saddened that anyone who lived a breathed on that day can deny the severity of his actions.
Sorry, but it's not that they weren't required but that they were forbidden. I'm not sure how old you are but if you remember the Clinton impeachment or the Nixon impeachment Congress not only allowed defense attorneys they would not hold the hearings without one.
In my opinion it will take non relenting making them say where they stand so we can call out the lies, etc.
When they say what they believe they hurt themselves. Or we can define them and force them to respond. Anti democracy, anti working people, anti healthcare, anti education, anti justice, forced birth, book banning….add more.
The special committee probably wasted $1B. These government officials should have been busy with the nation's work. If there is enough probably cause, the Department of Justice can indict Trump and his co conspirators. If there isn't, get on with it.
and what will you say when Jim Jordan and company launch endless committee probes into Hunter Biden? If investigating an attempted coup on the American gov't is a "waste", then what will you call the upcoming Hunter Biden committees?
I think the fact that America controls the language, withholds the language and parcels out the language and then hold inner city dwellers harshly responsible and accountable for that which it does is an atrocity and need to end, period.
The sad thought is that in some sense this was the easy part of the journey. The task of actually indicting and then trying this man (who is the master delayer of all time, is going to be truly difficult. The deniers will be out in full force all along the next treacherous road.
Perfectly stated. My biggest fear is that the people who most need to see and hear this - his "base" - continue to willfully turn a blind eye and deaf ear to the truth. That no matter how brilliantly the J6 Committee told the story, and they absolutely did, there will be far too many of the public that will not watch or listen.
Why is the Department of Justice dragging its feet about bringing charges against Trump for his role in the events of January 6th?

So happy that we are a step closer to putting Trump in jail!
When are they going to investigate the roots of the summer before?
I've been trying to gift someone with a subscription for months, and still haven't figured out how to do it. Can someone please help me? Many thanks.
Did you go to "support"? Is the person not a free subscriber?

Do you maintain relationships with Trumper denialists? What do you say to them?

Thank you, Dan, for backing up what this brave group of people has so clearly presented in the January 6 hearings.
This man needs to finally be made accountable for his nefarious actions toward other human beings.

Excellent summation. I watched every minute of the televised committee proceedings. Now let's hope DOJ is as diligent.
