Dear Steady Readers and Subscribers,
We are now a little over a month into our newsletter experiment and I couldn't be more excited about how it is going. I hope you are enjoying it as well. What gives me great hope is the community we are building, the engagement with our posts, and how many of you who have signed up to get the newsletter emails.
One sensitive issue we have been weighing since our launch is our desire to balance a free and open forum for discussion with the need to create a sustainable revenue model to support the team working on this project and also provide funds to invest in its growth and other related endeavors I hope to be able to undertake. All of this is against a backdrop of what I know are difficult financial times for many.
I am grateful for all of you who feel you have the means to pay for our content. And while we intend to keep most of what we are doing here free, next week we will begin to limit some of the comment sections to paying subscribers, as well as a few installments of the newsletter. As mentioned above, the majority of what we do will always remain free.
Simply put, however, the more support we get from those who can manage it, the more content we can produce and make available to all. Thank you for your consideration and understanding. We are eager for your feedback and expect this effort to continue to evolve. Throughout it all, we remain deeply appreciative of each and every one of you.
Sincerely,
I just subscribed as well!! as a doctor dealing with death and loss every single day, this is one of my bright spots!
Always a good day when you read Steady! Thank you Dan!
