Why cannot TRUMP be stopped from running for government again?

He is an evil person - he is dishonest

he is so many bad things...

tell me WHY? Tell me WHY he is not in PRISON???

I am a CANADIAN and the United States is our PROTECTORATE. .but I am ashamed of what the United

States of America is allowing to happen....?

it boggles my mind that such a bad person can run AGAIN to be President of the UNITED STATES.

It would seem that the majority of citizens have no morals!!!!!

The need for a forum such as the United Nations is clear, and the importance of global alliances such as NATO to enforce their actionable suggestions, striking. I am grateful to President Biden for orchestrating the re-entry of the United States into alliances canceled by the Trump administration's lackeys. Clearly, the USA can't fight the bullies alone.

Mr. Rather and Elliot, your Newsletter was very informative about Ukraine and Russia and how far we have come. However my concern is , how long will this war last ? Financially I feel we have help Ukraine. It's time for Ukraine and Russia to start negotiating and to stop killing of innocent people. I pray that China doesn't help Putin, this would be a disaster. President Biden has done an

outstanding job in handling this war between Ukraine and Russia. However, we have a culture war going on here in this country that needs to be addressed. Middle class and needy Americans can't afford to feed their families here in this country or health care. Rents and food increased. We are the wealthiest country in the world! We just can't affort to give billions of dollars, there has to be a limit! In my opinion it's taken an toll on our country and humanity.

So very true. Especially for those who are suffering in Ukraine or where ever war is raging. Even in countries that are under dictatorship. Anytime freedom is at risk.

Good writing.

Elliott, as a grandmother, I worry about you, your fascination with BIG MEDIA. Any chance you'd like to take a break, sit immersed in Leonard Cohen's vibes in the hot pools of Bodhi at Jemez Springs NM? Be surrounded by the discontinuity of red, white, brown strata wherein the entire era of dinosaurs was eroded away? Meet people magically meant for you to meet?

Worth a try. Pretty sure he won't do it, though. He's been in the group for his whole adult life, and I don't know how he would handle having no friends again.

In years to come, history students will wrack their brains over this exam question: "What were the causes of the Russo-Ukrainian War of", followed by a date. 2022-23; 2014-23; 2008-23, or even 1991-2023.

Many write here, not all, but many, as if they were an irrelevancy. But they're not. In all honesty, I'm not sure what time span is involved in this: 1991? 2014? 2022? No, I'm not sure which. But I do know one thing: it's not an irrelevancy.

Many a wise person here can tell me how to put out a fire. With water. Or sand. Or foam. Or call the fire department. The immediate answer is to pour water on it but the actual answer depends on how the fire started in the first place. Only then will I know how to put it out.

There is at best scant interest in how the war started. There is a perception that it started on 24 February 2022, and that is certainly the one date when it didn't start.

If we can discern the causes of the Russo-Ukrainian War, we can start to have an opinion on how to end it. But, if we do not know what caused it, or insufficiently make inquiry into what might have caused it, I think, truthfully, we should just sit back, enjoy our popcorn and wait for it to end. And whilst we're doing that we can check out "What is the nature of the misunderstanding between these neighbours?"

The causes. And the nature of the misunderstanding. Two questions that I've rarely heard in this past year, still less received a convincing answer to. Aside from them, it's just a war.
