We’re trying something a little new today. We know that a lot of what we send out can be a little, well, “involved” - in that it might take some time to read and think about. But sometimes the Steady Team comes across something that is quite the opposite, “short and sweet” to borrow a phrase.
We know you get a lot of emails, but we also think maybe a little something extra, if it doesn’t take too much energy to process, might be worth the effort to click “open” in your inbox. So please let us know what you think of this kind of stuff in the comments section below:

We saw this video and the combination of skill, energy, coordination, and just plain joy brought smiles to our faces. It will take less time to watch than the time you’ve spent reading our wind up. So without further ado, the Gardiner Brothers do Stayin’ Alive…
Ok. We are hearing you. It seems that many of you would like to see Smile for a Saturday become at least a somewhat regular feature. We also are seeing comments of concern that this might replace our more substantive essays. Rest assured, this will be only additional content.
We are finishing up a big Sunday essay for tomorrow, about puting Afghanistan into a broader historical context. We hope to see many of you in the comments section there as well. Thank you so much for supporting our efforts and for your encouragement. We hope you have a good weekend. We are especially concerned with all of you living in the path of the hurricane.
