It was definitely a stunt but it served its purpose. Other than Fox none of the networks or major newspapers showed any interest in the story of millions of illegal aliens entering the country and being dispersed in the dark of night all over the country. . The "stunt" did exactly what it was intended to. It got them reporting on it and it also showed what hypocrites Adams, Lightfoot, the people of Martha's Vineyard and others are.

BTW, did it take you since September to think of how to respond?

Everyone (is my understanding) has African roots. I’ll be watching a documentary that traces our roots to Africa. I’ll share what I learn.

Bravo!

Why can’t we create a decent and lawful path for people coming to this country?

But it was not “a stunt.” It was a crime.

Every time I think, "they can't go any lower," they prove me wrong. I heard an immigrant living in Florida, where I now reside, being interviewed about the situation and he said that while he disagreed with what DeSantis is doing, he thinks he's a good governor & will vote for him again. This is what really frightens me, so many people who vote against their own interests.

Another well written and thought out commentary. Since discovering this site I have been educated, enlightened, considered in my communications.

This issue. Written with much restraint. It would have been difficult for me to do the same without a hint of disgust or anger.

Bravo, nicely tempered.

My apology for the offense.

Overwintering in the Vineyard would give them time to assimilate. I'll bet they could develop a bustling winter economy there. Lord knows the Vineyard could use a little cultural diversity. The food, music and faith of these people would fundamentally change the stodgy culture there to a more vibrant one. Now they will be herded around by bureaucrats, same as where they left.

How horrible to treat people who have been to hell and back like 'things' to push their own agenda. Don't tell us that they are simply being placed where they can get more help. In front of the vice president's home? That is a STUNT and vulnerable people are being harmed. They aren't sending them places where they might have a chance and things they need. They are being sent to the riches neighborhoods in the country just to make a scene. Send them to smaller places, in smaller groups, to get what they need. No???? Of course not, it wouldn't make a huge scene. Certainly glad I am not part of the "Grand Ole Party." Nothing grand there.

One of your most powerful commentary to date. Perfectly said. What is so sad is that I am sure that many of the MAGNA supporters had grandparents and great grandparents fight against fascism in WW2, who now totally embrace it. Then you look at the UK and see people waiting up to 12 hours to pay their respects to their late monarch. Not complaining while in line just doing it as a sign of respect. As many have said they made new friends and it had nothing to do with color or status in life. I fear now we could not handle doing anything like that now in the USA. To much hatred among our people, you would need to be the “right “ sort of people to participate.
