And now my state rep has changed parties! I feel cheated - I voted for a Dem, now he’s a Rep.

Dan, I read every one of your articles and am so happy that you keep us briefed on all that is going on behind the scenes as well as in front of the scenes!

Excellent story of a wonderful woman.

I believe if, like you state, more stories of good, honorable politicians were written, by journalists. Instead of attention-grabbing, outrageous articles: Maybe if there were more coverage like this, the voting public would better understand the stakes of representation."... I agree, would be so much better for voting in the politicians that do a great job for the People and our Country.

WaPa's lengthy article was really top notch. So glad you brought attention to it here.

On another note - at the state level in Ohio our gerrymandering is so severe that I was bumped into a new house district that is so extreme that it guarantees a republican win. The Democrats had a very difficult time finding a candidate to even run in November, 2022. I AM a disenfranchised voter!

I am very proud to be represented in the Senate by Sherrod Brown. I don't always agree with him, but I do believe he has the best of intentions for ALL Ohioans and he is very transparent about his beliefs and values. Ohio's other senator, however, is J.D. Vance. Enough said.

Proud to have Jahana Hayes representing me. She works hard and consistently rises above the predators that are constantly stalking her every move. In a mire of loud, obnoxious do-nothings she is a smart and effective legislator.

The Senators from Oklahoma are a mixed bag. One is a thug, nothing less than. The other tests the wind each day before going to work. Neither will deserve a portrait in State Capitol Building.

I’m ashamed to say I always have to research them. I feel like I don’t get the real them. My town was once small and you would usually run into at least one person you knew at the store. Now it’s a sea of faces you’ve never seen before. People that run for seats were not born and raised here our town has really grown. The quaintness is gone. So I suppose the people that run now do represent the new people that have moved here. 😐

I know a lot about my Congressman and has kept up with his progress when he was an Assemblyman in our state. I did not vote for him. He does not have a fingertip of the apparent thoughtfulness and work ethics that Representative Underwood bring to her job.

My father was in Congress in the 1960's and 70's' In those days he really cared about his constituents, and read his mail as it was delivered. I'm grateful that representatives knew and cared about their constituents in those days.

We've been very happy with Eric Swalwell and Bob Wieckowski. But now we have new representatives due to redistricting and elections so we'll have to see how Liz Ortega and Kevin Mullin do things for us.

I have met my Congresswoman (and I consider the "woman" to be a compliment) Susan Wild, worked for her campaigns, and followed her political life since she first ran for office. Of course I don't agree with every stance she takes, but our goals and values align, and the courage and honesty she showed in response to her partner's suicide were moving and meaningful, shedding light on what too many families face because, as she says, she does not want anyone else to suffer. I'm grateful for her representation!

I am very grateful for our Congressional Representative, Derek Kilmer. He works hard to cover and represent the people of Washington's 6th District. Geographically it is very large and quite diverse. I truly believe he is a politician who is runs for the right reasons, to give us a voice in Congress and further the needs of his district. When people talk about term limits, I always think about what a loss it would be to lose someone whose knowledge and understanding of our area grows with each term.

I am in NE and my congressional rep, Adrian Smith has been on the job for, I believe, 16 years. I think he typifies the term of "career" politician. He votes the party line but seems to have few ideas of his own to contribute for the good of us all. Of course, in our state, most folks bleed red and will vote that way, regardless of qualifications. So, Mr. Smith went to Washington and will probably stay there for the foreseeable future.

I’m in CT and agree exactly with the comment of J. Nol. My Senators and Congress Woman Jahana Hayes are very hard working and have a lot of integrity.
