Mr Rather and Team Steady, thank you finding something so beautiful when our situation in the Trump administration is so ugly. It is easy to get trapped in this ugliness and start feeling helpless. However, there are steps we can take individually and as groups. You and your family are still in my nightly prayers.

I was there for this concert. Behind the curtain. I still cry when this comes on.

Not only do your words inform and comfort us, but your taste in music is spot on.💕

The last time I saw Joe Coker was in about 2009 or so in Phoenix. His voice was stronger in the o's and really rocked songs like "you can leave your hat on" and all the other sweeping hits. This video however, was pure beauty and gentle surrender. Thank you, Dan.

Thank you SO MUCH Dan! I needed to hear this again. I have not heard it in a long while. I had a couple of albums of his and he put his genius into each one. Sadly he was a tortured soul and I am sure we all wished he had had more time.

I need to find one of the songs on the album with Cry Me a River. It was a slow ballad and he put his heart into it.

There are many others who deal with their “demons” and we all need to Reach out and Touch somebody’s hand, Make this a Better World, if we Can.

WE CAN and SHALL!!

Much love Dan and please remember how special you are. A National Treasure 😉

Thank you. Many of us need something like this to cleanse all the ugly out there.

Thank you for sharing Joe Cocker's version of this beautiful song. He was one of my favorites growing up in the 60s and 70s, and it is perfect that you would write all of us here such a Steadying post, because you were/are my favorite newscaster of all times. It feels good to know you are still doing what you love to do and do so well. Many, many thanks, Dan.

You have been my hero Dan, since I was a little girl. I even went to college for journalism and TV in the 1970's. I ended up in graphic arts, but have used my writing skills in many jobs. I can't wait to hear what you think about Canada's new Prime Minister (unofficially until Apr 28th) Mark Carney. I am super excited that he will be our new Prime Minister! When I listen to Joe Cocker sing this beautiful song, it reminds me of simpler times with my parents when I was young. They're both gone now, but this song is a sentimental treasure for me.

Thank you so much for sharing this song, Dan! You are so beautiful to me, too. I so appreciate your support for all of us grieving Americans who need this kind of a virtual hug. God bless you and keep you Steady!

Thank you, Mr. Rather. It's good to be reminded that there are good things in the world, and one of the best is music.

I have loved this song, by Joe, for many, many moons.

My 95-year-old momma passed on from this world on March 3rd. We just held her send-off service this past Saturday. I needed to hear this.

Thank you.

For this.

And for the Steady you bring to our lives.

Thank you for your words! As an Elementary Teacher I always told my kids that “words have Power, be careful how you use them”! You made your living on them! Thank you for continuing to inspire and inform us all! And Love the Joe Cocker tribute♥️
