Uh, yeah, I grew up with CBS, Walter Cronkite and you, every night from the time I was a small child. David Ellison to put it as politely as I can, can get bent. CBS is dead to me.
It's all about the $$$$$, people like Ellison, his father, and the rest of their ilk only care about getting the blood from their conquests. The carcass of CBS and maybe the rest of the legacy media is all that these media vampires will leave in their dusty crypts.
There will always be media outlets that provide people with information confirming their prejudices. If one needs to deny facts and reality, there will always be media willing to monetize that ignorance.
I have not watched "60 Minutes" for a while. I remember in graduate school when many of us in the dormitory would gather in our floor's lounge to watch the show every Sunday evening. I miss the reliable reporting that was always a part of that show.
Re the former 60 Minutes journalists becoming journalism teachers: you may find it interesting, Mr. Rather, that your book, The Camera Never Blinks, was required reading when I went to journalism school in Toronto, 46 years ago! All these years later, I still trust your reporting.
The pedo class is taking over the media.

They are all short of brain cells.

I only trust sources on Substack for truthful news. I can’t stomach any of the networks anymore.
I only get my news from independents now. Virtually all of the mainsream has been compromised.
Wow!
Once again, thank you, Mr. Rather. You are a voice of reason in this insanity.
You are an amazing journalist yourself Dan, thank you for all you do!
FACTS!!!
Thank you, Dan, for being such an important voice of reason.

Same here, Bill. And I still miss Andy Rooney!
Me, too.
The worst thing that could happen is this proven liar gets ahold of CNN. He will tear it down and rebuild as competition to Fox News.
We’re living in a total RIGHT wing world at the moment. There is no leaning even slightly left from these goons.

To paraphrase Will Smith, Ellison should "keep Murrow's name outta his mouth." It's disgusting to hear it in that context.
