Everybody SAYS they support Veterans, but when it came to getting health care for Agent Orange and Burn Pit-exposed veterans, it was politics as usual with the GOP trying to block it ... just because.

Fortunately they were shamed into surrender upon a re-vote but let us never confuse words with deeds.

I served for 9 years in the USAF (1973-1982). I am one the many who successfully transferred from active duty military back to civilian life. However, our country is not stepping up to help those who did not successfully make that transition and are committing suicide in record numbers, are homeless, hungry, strung out on addictions, and we aren’t stepping up enough to help these veterans. I believe a lot of the very fat budget the Pentagon gets should be spent on helping those veterans that are suffering. Let’s keep the promise made to young people who VOLUNTEER to write that blank check to our country! Let’s take better care of all veterans!
