A government asking for another $80 billion while refusing to explain what happened to the first $37.5 billion is not practicing “operational security.” It is running a war on the honor system. Eighteen Americans are dead, bases are damaged, stockpiles are shrinking, Iran still controls the Strait, and the Pentagon’s public strategy appears to be “please stop asking.” Congress did not authorize this war, reporters are being pushed out, and leakers are being hunted for telling taxpayers what their money is buying. Secrecy may protect troop movements. It should not protect incompetence, lies, or a president with no visible endgame.

In my opinion the Pentagon doesn't need any more money regardless of this war. Requesting a 42% increase is absolutely ridiculous.
