It feels like Miley Cyrus has been around forever. Perhaps that’s because the 32-year-old pop icon has spent more than half of her life in the spotlight. She emerged as the title character on the television series “Hannah Montana” when she was just 14. In the intervening years, Cyrus has established herself as an award-winning recording artist. She won another Grammy last Sunday for her “II Most Wanted” duet with Beyoncé.
This week’s reason to smile is Cyrus’ power ballad “The Climb.” Released in 2009 for the “Hannah Montana” movie, the musical pep talk describes life as a challenging journey that you can’t let knock you down.
Take a listen. I hope it gives you a small boost and a big grin. These days, I’ll take what I can get.
We will get through this. Remember: With Trump, Musk, and company, chaos is the point.
All the more reason to hold steady and be positive.
It’s a climb.
If you are able to, please support my team, who make pieces like this possible.
No matter how you subscribe, I thank you for reading and listening.
Stay Steady,
Dan
Thanks Dan for the relief. Donnie 2.0–in order to get through it, I make up word lists. Here’s the newest. Additions are appreciated.
