This ain’t a bill, Dan — it’s a holy un-anointing. A 1,116-page exorcism of compassion, crammed into a week like they’re trying to pass it before decency wakes up and reads the footnotes.

Trump calls it beautiful, but it reads like Leviticus written by hedge fund managers. Cuts to Medicaid, food aid, and children’s health — all so billionaires can get a gold-plated tax halo and Walmart can “eat the tariffs” like they’re communion wafers? This isn’t governance. It’s spiritual vandalism.

Mike Johnson and his apostles of austerity are hoping America’s too distracted by Memorial Day BBQs and presidential diagnoses to notice they’re crucifying the poor again. And Trump Jr. out here diagnosing stage-five nonsense like the ghost of Dunning-Kruger passed him a stethoscope.

Let’s be clear: this bill isn’t “for the people.” It’s for five people — and three of them own rocket ships.

We’re witnessing a slow-motion coup in khakis and committee hearings. So if anyone still thinks silence is neutral, it’s time to repent — loudly.

Have you seen this?!! Why isn’t the media blasting this information on loud speakers!!?! BURIED IN THE BILL A small addition to the budget bill

House GOPers are pushing upends the traditional balance of power by forbidding courts to charge Trump and other government officials with contempt for defying court orders.

The bill also blocks court-ordered national injunctions to prevent potential illegal acts posing imminent harm.

With the SCOTUS ruling giving Trump immunity, this small part of the bill completes his quest to become America's first dictator.

It seems to this working class hero that the chief agents of “waste, fraud and abuse” are Lonnie & Leon and their buttboiz in DOGE. Period. Essentially, the opening frames of this heinous Trump 2.0 bit of cheap and farcical political theater, are something of a countdown clock for a complete and utter meltdown of what’s passing for the government of these U. S. of A. One could not be faulted for waxing somewhat nostalgic for the straightforward abuse of power the was such a hallmark of Tricky Dick, Kissinger, and their “Plumbers”. It was brazen corruption, sure, but at least it made a kind of twisted sense. Things added up in an odd but oddly consistent manner. The Dunceald & Co. decided do not add up.

This “beautiful Bill” also has the potential to trigger more than $45 Billion in Medicare cuts due to the ballooning budget deficit. Therefore, Trump’s promise of not touching Medicare or Medicaid or Social Security is crumbling.

Imagine a budget bill that is the opposite of what our society needs, that punishes the poor and further enriches the wealthiest. Only a person with Trump’s complete lack of empathy and regard for the truth could vomit up a bill like this.

Sec 10011 Eliminates funding for SNAP Education for recipients. This is my wife’s job. Thru State university federal grants, she teaches low income families how to use their benefits wisely and teaches recipes to help their benefits go further. I guess we will qualify for SNAP soon.

Thank you for calling it the correct name. Words Matter. GOP and Trump have everyone calling this Bad Bill a Big Beautiful Bill. I have heard the term many times this week on NPR, and it surprises me every time. Some people don’t critique or scrutinize what they hear on the news, especially those that keep saying fake news, and just believe it is a budget bill that is good for the people because it is big and beautiful. I used to think that is ridiculous, how would someone not realize this is a shifty salesman sales pitch. But a large percent of the population accept what they are told with little scrutiny, and consider things at surface level only.

Forgive the sarcasm, but the rubes who elected him still believe him and in him...until FEMA doesn't show up, or their Medicaid is refused. But that is just beginning. So far, no buyer's remorse from the MAGAts. AND...to celebrate the Freedom Caucus for being against the bill because it doesn't take enough away...we've gone through the Looking Glass!

Because at long last, they have no decency. And if we truly wanted to get rid of fraud, waste, and abuse, Trump would be carried out on a rail.

MAGA response to Biden diagnosis is disgusting. But MAGA is disgusting even without that so no surprise. But I think it is time to rebel against the regime. 8647!!!!!

With respect, Dan, will you please explain the math behind "Voters would find out that someone making less than $15,000 a year would see their federal taxes increase by 74.3% by 2031. That is not a typo."

In my mind this does not work. Further, I know of no individual making less than $15,000 a year that pays taxes.

This is terrifying....if the bill gets thru, we are lost. Trump is destroying all equality and justice to aide the billionaires and himself. I am waiting to see if decency and justice will prevail over greed. Thank you for the facts.

Thank you Dan for your clear & truthful reporting as always! It is so disheartening to hear criticism of President Biden who was a real President who cared for us all! I am deeply sad about his diagnosis! Sending prayers for President Biden, Jill and his family!
