I don't think it will be possible to restore the U.S. presidency to its rightful place of leadership and respect unless and until the former occupant is held fully responsible under the law for the crimes he committed, and punished accordingly. Otherwise, we will have abandoned the rule of law and all that stands upon it.

We should all be happy to celebrate this Presidents’ Day because we have one! We almost didn’t have a legitimately elected President who came to office in a peaceful transition of power , in a timely fashion. So, hurray for this Presidents’ Day!

Given what is happening with the attempt to trample upon the voting rights of citizens in Texas ,and a few other states, the next election for President may not be pretty or easily achieved . Many will be deprived of their right to vote by rules and standards that few can meet. There will be legal challenges to election outcomes which could go on for years ! So, let’s take this occasion to celebrate the legitimacy of this President and a hope for many more Presidents’ Days to come ! Let’s not take this Day for granted!

Thank you for having initiated the conversation .
