There are definitive laws and regulatiobs on the books about ICE and CBP operations that include the requirements for ontaining warrants and define the type of warrants they are allowed to use. It is up to those of us with the knowledge to spread the fact through forums like this and discussions with those we encounter that warrants are required despite what the DHS memo and websites say. We must keep this in the news until the truth is known by all.

Who would have thought that two American citizens would be murdered in cold blood by agents of our own government? It's almost too much to take in. I find myself trying to fall asleep at night, but unable to shake off these events. The lies and obfuscations coming from Trump and his minions only make it worse. What is the tipping point? When will our country that we love so much be recognizable again? Soon, I hope. Trying to stay steady, but it's not easy.

I always seem to compare the stuff coming out of this government and It’s ICE police to tactics during the startup of the Hitler reign in Germany. The Brown Shirts come to mind but instead of going after people with skin of different colour that ICE is doing they went after Jews. IVE put their captives in detention centres whereas after things got really heated up in Germany the Jews were put in concentration camps. When we see this happening I would say, There For the Grace Of God Go l. Don’t be complacent because you could be next depending how Trump and his cronies change the parameters of who they decide should be put on the list.

We clearly need to understand what the legal limits of ICE are - as mr Rather points out Real Law Enforcement does not need to be masked. ICE should not be either. We have to insist that the Constitution is upheld - what does tha tmena for ICE? Signed Judicial Warrants and reading people their rights if theya re apprehended? Most likely. We can not fund them with our taxpayr dollars until we know they are upholding the Constitution.
NYT reported yesterday that this past week (during the faux deescalation) ICE received MORE authority to do warrantless arrests. In the report a former senior advisor to ICE is quoted saying that the new interpretation of the law is now broad there is no reason for agents to obtain warrants. The FAQ page on the ICE website agrees:
