I'm a woman who is about ready to turn 81. How many times do I have to fight to have the same rights. Protest songs put a little sail under my wings.

Correct, the left is also very wrong and beholden to corporations. The left now, is like the right was a few decades ago. We need a new democratic party.

Democrats must be seen as against the BBB, and against the shutdown.

Are the far left stupid or just arrogant? Or both? There is no argument that the Democrats need the independent vote to win the midterms. They are the biggest party in America. By electing Mamdani in NYC would allow the Republicans to make him the face of the Democratic Party. It would have a negative effect on them. Remember Republicans spent millions pushing Bernie over Hillary. They were even joined by Putin and the Russians. The Mamdani effect would do the same thing.

A Gallup poll in 2025 found 57% of U.S. adults have a negative opinion of socialism.

Pew Research (2022) said 60% view socialism negatively.

Other research up to 70% of Americans are against (or have a negative view of) socialism.

Only 23% of independents say they view socialism favorably. NPR/PBS. That suggests around 77% of independents view socialism unfavorably in that poll.

So, depending on the poll and definitions, somewhere between 60-80% of independent voters are against socialism (i.e. have an unfavorable view of it or prefer free market over socialism).

Even Democrats view socialism negatively.

A Rasmussen Reports / Heartland Institute survey in 2025 found that 67% of Democrats say a free-market economic system is better than socialism — which implies about 67% of Democrats reject or view socialism negatively in that framing.

The far left are living in their own minds. Very similar to the far right only not as mean. But the fact that they’re used by the far right, makes them more stupid.

Mamdani will have a negative effect in the midterms and the midterms are only way to save America.

A Land of Bees and Honey

In a land of bees and golden honey,

A vast terrain of things and money,

The days fall silent – still as night.

Not with peace but with muffled fright.

There’s screams in the streets, some kneel in flame,

But power shrugs, then shifts the blame.

The silence isn’t from lack of cries,

It’s deafness dressed in polished lies.

The streets are too calm, the news too slow,

But hearts beat hard with the things we know.

Our voices silenced and justice betrayed,

And truths denied or disobeyed.

If the word is quieted, what will we hear?

Will we choose love -  or bow to fear

When the fires are out, when the sky is clear,

Will we remember what brought us here?

Will old lessons rise through all this ash?

Or fade again like markets crash?

Will something real break through the spin,

Or will the silence once again win?

Let silence crack, let truth resound,

Let justice rise from underground.

No spin can hold what hearts ignite—

We are the voice. We are the fight.

MUSIC IS MAGIC 🎶 and a powerful force. Music can have a positive impact on the campaign to preserve democracy as music reaches the soul of America. It is all about what people feel vs. what they think.

I experienced the power of music in the late 60's and early 70's marching in protest to the war in Vietnam and the tyranny of the Nixon Administration. The music was about "WE" not "ME" and promoted the greater good.

The Democratic and Pro-Democracy leaders need to join together to build a strong coalition and embrace music for the powerful force it embodies. They can employ music to reach the hearts and souls of the American people to build a strong PRO-DEMOCRACY COMMUNITY of concerned and active citizens.

Only LOVE and understanding can defeat hate. As Huey Lewis sings in "The Power of Love" - love can turn a hawk into a dove. Music can change minds and overcome apathy and hopelessness. It can make us instruments of God's peace.🕊
