The bullying of reporters happens on camera because it's meant to be seen. It's performance. The question is what's happening off-camera - the calls, the meetings, the quiet pressure that never makes the news. When a president publicly humiliates journalists for asking about Saudi business deals or Maxwell pardons, imagine what's being said privately to witnesses, to prosecutors, to anyone holding information he doesn't want released. The cruelty isn't a flaw in his character. It's a signal: this is what I do to people who cross me, and you're watching the polite version.
Wrong this time Dan. The questions asked by the female journalists were not "hard" questions. They were basic questions that should asked by any legitimate journalists at every opportunity. The crumbling of the fourth pillar has been partially self-inflicted by once legitimate journalists allowing themselves to be bullied. The cowardice of the male correspondents that do not defend their colleagues, and that do not ask "hard" questions is abhorrent. The American media has been captured by the oligarchs or is slowly capitulating to the regime. It is no longer independent. At least there are the Brits - BBC, Guardian, Economist where complicity is considered part of journalism.
Look at that photo. What if that male reporter standing to her right had grabbed him by the necktie and nostrils, and made him apologize to the lady, eyes a-popping? Looks like a lost opportunity to me. And what a priceless photo!
and one that would never happen as Secret Service would have wrestled the male reporter to the floor, and escorted him unceremonioulsy out of the Oval.
Thank goodness for honest reporters such as yourself. It is sad to see the USA heading down this dangerous and facist path. I believe that now most Americans do not support Mr. Trump. Time to 25 him.. the faster the better…. Also all the corrupt people he has put in the White House that are enabling him.
I believe I have previously mentioned that I was a federal probation and pretrial services officer, now retired. We conducted regularly scheduled ethics training. But Trump and his administration have stripped any semblance of ethics from everything they do. All federal workers must meet a high standard of ethics. Even a preponderance of impropriety would result in discipline, maybe even losing your job. If I would have called a female “piggy” I would have most certainly been fired. As former President Biden said of crazy things Trump said, “Who would say something like that?” This president, of course.
I'm interested. What was it about child sex trafficking and teenage prostitution pimping that appealed to you under obama's open border?
How many children being murdered in the desert and drowned in the rivers around obama's open border would have been too many for you?
How many Laken Rileys, Irynas, or women burned alive on shit hole democrats subways would it take for you to admit you are Fuxxed up

Yes, all true! So why is he still in office? I think he will be remembered as the “Mad Hatter” President.
Dementia is evident in Sleepy Don.

Why aren’t the men journalists stepping up?! Just a simple. You can’t speak to a woman like that.
Don’t point your disgusting little finger in her face you smelly fat failure and pedophile
presidential scum
So much self control and courage not to respond with a reply that you would loose your job. I couldn’t do it with that nasty person.
trump never watched Mr. Rogers. All I can say is "Mr. President, you are not a gentleman." Your behavior is strictly Whisky Tango Foxtrot.
Here's a what if...

He always projects. He calls them all the things that deep inside he knows....and perhaps heard in childhood?
