Thank you, Mr. Rather. Two of the statements I mentally make to Adolph Trump are:
1. Men with real strength are kind. Ask Jesus the next time you feel the need to use him.
2. Real strength is found in the truth. Chaos and lies always end badly. Just look at the losers whose playbooks you use (e.g., the other Adolph, Stalin, Mao, the KKK, etc.).
Can we call the detention centers and the El Salvador prison "concentration camps", or do we need to wait for history to do that after the atrocities are over?
Less rhetorical question: Has the US started giving visas to those who can pay thousands of dollars as suggested by Trump couple months ago??
Practitioners of unrestricted capitalism have no room for empathy. Dan, maybe you could get SNL to allow you to post the Adam Driver skit of a latter-day robber baron visiting his grandson's class for a form of "show and tell" - one could imagine any of trump's coterie of the 1/10th of 1% (or his wannabe majesty) doing the talking.

Humanity, empathy and compassion for all
Safety nets for people to live in dignity
Freedom of speech
Justice and equality for all
Fairness for all
Acceptance of all
Freedom for all
Having a “diverse fabric” in our society
No systemic misogyny
No racism
No antisemitism
No bigotry
Wanting reasonable gun control legislation
Wanting good healthcare for all
Having norms of decency, civility, honesty
prevents THEM from being free and means our country is in CRISIS thus they fly our flag upside down?!!!!!
All of us fighting to save our democracy and our constitution as intended by our founding fathers with
3 equal branches of government
All of our EQUAL rights
Freedom of speech
Absolute separation of church and state
The 14th amendment which was properly ratified and became part of our constitution ensuring birthright citizenship is now being ABOLISHED by the stroke of a pen by an individual president abusing the power of “executive orders”.
All of us standing together putting country before party standing up to unbridled lawlessness corruption and inhumane brutality in this fascist authoritarian takeover……..
Maybe WE should be the ones to fly our flags upside down on the Fourth of July as we are in a real huge constitutional crisis and our democracy rights and freedoms have never been more threatened in the history of the United States of America.

I watched Dan R. On YouTube yesterday in a first class documentary on John Kennedy’s last hours,narrated by George Clooney. Watch it if you can. Rather, a great reporter, was part of a brilliant team under Cronkite. Midway through I felt tears forming as I compared internally JFK with the oaf and idiot occupying the White House today. I was 21 years old and we kids loved him. Please youth of America ,see this creature as the modern day Senator McCarthy . Learn the lesson and never vote for Fascism ever again. OVER TO YOU.
I do believe that Trump's grandfather came to America the second time illegally. Not sure about the first time .after he was supposedly expelled from Germany for dodging the draft.
German sources say he fled to avoid being imprisoned. There are some older sources that say he was on a deport back to Germany because of his being wanted and an extradition.
Trump's family claims he became a citizen in 1895...I have been unable to find an actual record for that.
Perhaps if birthright citizenship ends, Trump will need to be deported.
Germany almost certainly wouldn't take him, so I guess we'll have to deport him.
Of course I don't know for sure but I've done quite a bit of research on Friedrich Trump and that naturalization document seems missing beyond the Trump family claim.
I understand violence is wrong. When used against good. When used to murder innocent victims just for what they believe in, freedom, empathy, decency. But this regime is NOT good, they are not doing good for anyone except for the party of one, the felonious rapist and traitor. His sadism, his lack of conscience or empathy. Or intelligence or honesty. Cruelty makes him happy. That is not an American president. Not my America. That is a dictator, that is a fascist and has NO PLACE in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. How we got here is debatable but the question is, how do we get OUT. Or better put, how do we GET them out?? Yes, under normal circumstance Satan’s spawn, JD Vance would take over. But he’s no TACO. He doesn’t have the “charisma” for lack of a better word, that the traitor has. I’ve been hoping for years that all the McDonald’s would clog his arteries but that hasn’t happened. Yet. Talking is doing no good. I read many things to stay informed but they only upset me and then being upset turns to anger. Protests are great but they have no effect. This regime probably laughs and enjoys them knowing it won’t deter them one bit. Courts don’t deter them and certainly not the law. The promise that evil will not inherit heaven doesn’t deter them. HELL does not deter them. So what IS the answer? Wait until 2026, pray the election isn’t rigged and that Dems can control Congress?? The traitor constantly usurps Congress’ authority. And how much worse does it all get between now and then?? I’m at a loss and feel there MUST be an effect for what they are causing…
