After the huge turnout for No Kings Saturday, my birthday Sunday, and watching this appropriate song after these past two days, I am most positively smiling Dan! Thank you so much for all you did and continue to do to lighten everyone's load. I trust you are smiling also.
problem is, orange malevolence's childhood preacher was Norman Vincent POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING Peale. his superlatives & exaggerated positivities strengthened by the dark & diabolical lessons of Roy Cohn were most instrumental in getting him selected to office.
I love this version, Dan. It's a good song to hear during tumultuous times like we are in. I recorded and produced a version of the song with the late, great Leon Redbone and the session was pure joy. Thanks for a great post.
Wonderful!! Thank you for sharing this Mr. Rather, I love it!
Thank you, Dan. I had no idea of the history of this song
Thank you so much for this, recovering from some bug and was needing a reason to smile

I was a child during WW2. I remember that song?
Bette Midler!!!!! Didn’t know she and Bing did this. Fun song to pep things up.

Love Bing and the Devine Ms M, but my favorite rendition of this song is the original Johnny Mercer version. One of my favorites!!
